“Nurture ATL" is a new urban community garden project that seeks to address critical issues of food insecurity, environmental sustainability, and community education in the vibrant city of Atlanta. Through the utilization of innovative urban farming techniques and community engagement strategies, we aim to establish a model urban farm that serves as a catalyst for positive change in the local community.

We will distribute healthy meals prepared with the produce we grow to underserved local populations.
Community Engagement
We will have volunteer workdays for locals to get hands-on and gain practical experience in the urban agricultural movement.
Food Resource Management
Demonstrating a composting system that cuts food wastage and lessens contribution to landfills.
Training & Education
We will be hosting educational workshops for local children and families to teach them about nutrition and growing their own food.
Resolving Issues Within Our Community
The city of East Point lacks proper access to fresh, local produce as well as educational resources on nutrition, diet, and lifestyle. According to Feeding America, “Georgia has one of the highest densities of food deserts in the nation. One in eight Georgians face hunger, and one in seven are children.”
